Biography
Assoc. Prof. Simon Anguma Katrini is the Vice Chancellor of Muni University and the patron of the Muni University Institute of Leadership and Governance (MUILG). He has provided visionary academic and administrative leadership that has steered Muni University's growth from a nascent institution into a credible centre of higher learning in the West Nile sub-region of Uganda.
Under his tenure, Muni University has expanded its academic programmes, strengthened community engagement initiatives, and established strategic research partnerships across East Africa. He has been a steadfast champion of MUILG's founding mandate — to develop ethical, capable, and responsive leaders for Uganda and the continent.
Assoc. Prof. Katrini holds advanced qualifications in his field and has accumulated decades of experience in higher education management, research, and policy advisory roles.
